VAMview Fifteenth Retail Price Guide (2014)

ALL Morgan and Peace Dollars are VAMs.

If a specific VAM is not listed here, you can presume there is no trading history and – most likely – no premium. This Guide is a best effort to report the current retail value of VAMs that are known and are selling. This, it must be remembered, is a RETAIL price guide. This is not a wholesale or a cherry picker’s guide. Should you disagree with the pricing, ignore the guide.

This issue is the largest of all previous price guides. The expanded book includes listings for Leroy Van Allen’s TOP 30 Peace Dollars with gouges, as well as Dr. David Close and Ash Harrison’s Elite 30 Peace Dollars. While the pricing history is slight this year for many of the new coins, they are shown.

As usual, the book is printed on stout paper and in a format which allows you to write in the book with pricing updates as they are reported in the VAM newsletter, The VIEW. This is a valuable tool that is frequently referenced and used by many, many dealers and collectors across the nation.

There were 125+ VAMs added in this edition! Last year was an interesting year for VAMs and this year’s guide is an attempt to bring that information together and continue to provide a road map to the growing interest in a hobby started five decades ago by Leroy Van Allen and George Mallis.
