US Mint Capsule -- Half Dollar

The US Mint does not sell capsules to replace those used in their modern commemorative and bullion coin programs. So, if a capsule is lost or broken it is difficult to find an exact match that will fit in the original government packaging. We have located a supply of these capsules that were the by-product of submitting coins for grading. These capsules are not new. They were used by the Mint in original packaging. They have not been abused or scratched although they may show minor signs of wear. Hence our calling them "lightly used."  These are the type of capsule that was used starting in 1986.  While they will fit 1982 commemorative half dollar coins they will not fit into the 1982 commemorative packaging.
