Henry Voigt and Others Involved with America's Early Coinage

Henry Voigt still remains a numismatic nobody after 200 years.  He spent the last 22 years of his life in the government's service as the first Superintendent and Chief Coiner of the United States Mint between the years 1792 and 1814.  This book is about Voigt and others involved in United States Mint coinage from the 18th and 19th centuries.  The dedication and hard work of some these people led to the success of the first US Mint at Philadelphia, and ensured that the coins minted there would continue to be created, circulated, and eventually respected enough to be collected for their beauty and historical aspects.
